21ST CENTURY LEARNING ELEMENTS
The new Elsie Robertson STEM Middle School is 250,000 SF and houses up to 1,500 students in grades 7 and 8. The previously existing school was built in 1961. This new building is a replacement school built on-site with school in session in the existing building. The new school was built around an existing auditorium building, and includes an ICC-500 Storm Shelter sized to house the entire population of the new larger school. Since completed, the old school has been demolished and converted into a walking park for public use. This facility opened in the Fall of 2020.
