Architectural Project Staff

About the Role

  • As Architectural Project Staff you will have the opportunity to help with all phases of the design process; Planning, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Construction Administration.  Our goal is to help Architects become successful project managers that can assist clients with making their project goals into reality. 

Responsibilities 

  • Help with creation of renderings, animations and other Schematic drawings to help communicate with the client the vision of their project. 
  • Assist with coordination of consultant information into Architectural drawings. 
  • Coordinate with Project Principal, Project Manager, Project Architect and Design Lead to produce a complete set of Architectural Construction Documents. 

Skill Set

  • Knowledge of Revit and other office software essential for production of Construction Documents. 
  • Good team building, problem solving, communication, coordination and organizational skills. 
  • Open minded and willingness to learn. 

Reports 

  • Project Architectural Staff will report to Project Principal and Project Manager or Project Architect. 

Continuing Education/ Expertise/ Leadership

  • Focus on achievement of State of Texas Architectural license and registration. 
  • Participate in continuing education seminars, conventions & organizations relevant to Architecture in order to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and techniques. 

Architectural Construction Administration Manager

Minimum of 10 years experience in the design or construction industry with an Architectural/ Engineering firm or other construction related company. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture /Engineering or construction related field encouraged. Architectural licensure or experience with K-12 Educational facilities a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Construction Administration Staff to coordinate Architectural construction observation for facilities under construction with Project Principal and Project Manager.
  • Manage and Schedule the Construction Administration Staff activities for all projects including field observations, submittal review, QA/QC document review, weekly field reports and punchlists.
  • Written and verbal Communication with Client representatives and Contractors and have ability to investigate construction questions by researching Construction Drawings, Specifications, Submittals and Manufacturer Product information.

Skill Set

  • Knowledge of Construction Documents Knowledge of Specifications.
  • Good construction knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Civil, Landscape, Architecture, Roofing, Kitchen, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Technology scopes of work.
  • Good team building, problem solving, communication, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Reports Construction Administrator will report to the Business Principal and will work daily with Project Principals, Project Managers and Construction Administration Staff.

Sustainability Manager / Project Architect

WRA Architects is hiring a Sustainability Manager/ Project Architect for our Dallas office!

About the Role

  • As the Sustainability Manager/ Project Architect you will have the opportunity to lead the firm in Sustainable design for all phases of the design process; Planning, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Construction Administration.
  • Our goal for the Sustainability manager is to help ensure integration of Sustainable design into all projects.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation of energy models and analysis to help communicate with the client the Sustainability vision of their project.
  • Assist with coordination of consultant Sustainability information into Architectural design and drawings.
  • Coordinate with Project Principal, Project Manager and Design Lead to produce a complete set of Architectural Construction Documents.

Skill Set

  • Knowledge of energy modeling, Revit and other office software essential for analysis of energy use and Sustainable design as well as production of Construction Documents.
  • Good teambuilding, problem solving, communication, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Open minded and willingness to learn.

Reports

  • Sustainability Manager/ Project Architect will report to Project Principal and Project Manager.

Continuing Education/ Expertise/ Leadership

  • Minimum of three years experience working in an Architectural firm.
  • Achievement of State of Texas Architectural license and registration.
  • Familiarity with LEED, CHPS, IECC or other energy codes required.
  • Participate in continuing education seminars, conventions & organizations relevant to Architecture in order to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and techniques.

BIM / VR Manager

Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing Building Information Technology strategies and systems by managing vendors and staff, researching and implementing technological solutions and hands on experience with multiple technologies. Licensed Architect strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage BIM and Virtual Reality processes in all phases of design.
  • Assess and train all new architectural staff on Autodesk Revit and ensure continued proficiency through monthly user group meetings and individual guidance as needed.
  • Troubleshoot all Revit-related issues.
  • Create, deploy, and maintain custom WRA Revit deployments.
  • Maintain WRA Revit Templates and Add-Ins.
  • Create and maintain Clarity projects and maintain software on the Clarity server.
  • Keep management informed of software needs for current software, newly available software, and licensing changes.
  • Clash detect models, coordinate with consultants, and maintain company BIM standards throughout all projects.
  • Maintain Virtual Reality software and hardware and assist staff and clients to utilize Virtual Reality tools in projects.
  • Align relevant technology strategies, practices, and projects with Project Principals, Project Managers, Design Leads and Architectural Staff to achieve organization goals.
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing software technologies.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with Principals with minimal oversight.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Skill Set
