Legacy Christian Academy Phase 2

With Phase II of its Upper School Facility, Legacy Christian Academy will be one step closer to completing their Legacy. The Upper School will now be complete.

·         The 60,350sf addition will provide a new state-of-the-art media center, band and choir rehearsal halls, drama facilities, a 600-seat auditorium, administrative offices, 14 additional classrooms, a technology lab and a new art classroom.

·         The Upper School will also now have a full service kitchen that will allow their ever-expanding student population to have additional dining options.

·         Adding a new art classroom frees up space in the existing portion of the Upper School to add another science classroom.

January 2016 Construction Update

Village Tech Schools

OPENING FALL 2017

Village Tech Schools, a charter school serving grades pre-K through 12, is in the design stage of their new permanent campus to be located near Belt Line Road in Cedar Hill’s historic downtown.  WRA Architects of Dallas is designing the school and Northstar Builders of Coppell has been selected as the Construction Manager.

The school at completion will comprise approximately 168,000 square feet of enclosed space in four separate buildings, and will serve 1040 students.  The four structures include a 3-story classroom building for grades 3-12, a preschool for grades PK-2, a gymnasium and dining building, and “the Forge.”   The Forge is the heart of the school and embodies Village Tech’s educational philosophy.  It includes makerspaces, art studios, computer labs, and presentation and demonstration space.  Here is where students from all grade levels will design and construct projects that relate to and illustrate their curriculum in all core subjects.

The campus will be one of the first projects in the redevelopment of Cedar Hill’s urban center and hopes to be a catalyst for further development of this area.

We are thrilled to partner with WRA Architects and the City of Cedar Hill on this exciting new project
