Tony Apel joined WRA Architects in 1987 after gaining experience in two other Dallas architectural firms. For more than twenty years, Tony has led project teams through all aspects of the design and construction of educational projects. He has been involved in many facility bond programs, master plans and studies requiring extensive facility surveys and programming. Tony became a partner in 1996.
Tony currently serves as principal-in-charge on educational projects. He is very involved in the day-to-day operations of the projects, dealing with the client’s input and leading the A/E team to implement the client’s needs and recommendations. Mr. Apel has been involved in all phases of projects from master planning, design, construction documents, coordination of consultants, bidding and construction administration. Tony has been the design architect, project manager or principal-in-charge of the majority of projects in the Mesquite ISD over the last fifteen years. He has also assisted Mesquite ISD with facility studies and bond planning for the successful passing of bond programs in 1993, 1996, 1999, 2003, and 2007.
