Roderick Elementary School

Josephine, Texas

Fall 2022

The new Roderick Elementary School for Community ISD is a two-story campus designed to serve up to 750 students in pre-k through fifth grade. The design emphasizes flexible learning pods, enhanced security, efficient traffic flow, and future expandability. Natural daylight fills all learning areas, and each grade level includes a dedicated flex space for collaboration. A centrally located media center supports a variety of activities, while the light-filled cafeteria features a stage and views of the courtyard and playground. The dual-purpose gymnasium doubles as a storm shelter, and the courtyard provides a flexible outdoor learning and gathering space.
