Mesquite ISD Middle School #10

Mesquite ISD continues to grow…

Mesquite ISD Middle School #10 is based on the Frasier Middle School plan for 1,200 students, grades 6 through 8. When completed, the project will feature an 8-lane all-weather track, football field, tennis courts, practice fields, space for a future classroom expansion, and a learning courtyard.

  • The primary entrance of the school faces west towards the new road extension of Edwards Church Drive. Secondary entrances are provided south near the fine arts, athletics and cafeteria portion of the school.

  • The classroom wing to the north addresses the traffic coming in from Cartwright Rd. and is oriented east/west for optimum solar orientation. The southwestern portion of the plan is rotated slightly to open up to the main entrance and pull the large volume spaces back from the drop off lane.

  • The main entrance of the school lies between the administration suite and the media center and includes a security vestibule.

  • The special instruction is located just to the east of the admin. And beyond it is the 6th grade classroom wing.

  • The fine arts area is bordered by the media center, cafeteria and athletics.

  • The locker rooms are located to the south of the gymnasiums and will house the community storm shelter.
