Cancer Research Center
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is expanding its biochemistry program to strengthen academic offerings and advance research on cancer-fighting compounds. The new facility supports plant and fungal cultivation in mycorrhizal ecosystems, along with organic and upper-division chemistry labs and lecture space for all levels of biochemistry instruction.
Inspired by the theme “Return to the Garden,” the building features plant walls, paludariums, and terrariums throughout. An outdoor pavilion, pollinator garden, and fruit-bearing landscape create living research environments and will host the university’s annual Fall Harvest.
The design creates a clear beacon for new growth and innovation in teaching and research for the university, and construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2027.
