Building for a Cause: WRA Participates in CANstruction Dallas

CANstruction Dallas hosts its annual competition at NorthPark Center, with all donations benefiting the North Texas Food Bank.

This year, WRA team members brought creativity and cans together to build their debut CANstruction entry: the “Little Green Man” from Toy Story. Using just over 7,350 cans, the team embraced the sci-fi theme May the Fork Be With You, turning their vision into a playful, larger-than-life structure.

CANstruction is an international nonprofit that organizes annual design-build competitions, challenging participants to construct giant structures entirely from canned food. Now in its 29th year in Dallas, the competition raises awareness of food insecurity while supporting the North Texas Food Bank.

All of this year’s structures are on display at NorthPark Center in Dallas through Sept. 14, giving the community a chance to see the creativity and teamwork behind each build and to support a meaningful cause.
