WRA Earns Prestigious “Stars of Distinction” at the 2025-26 Exhibit of School Architecture
WRA Architects is proud to announce that the firm has received multiple awards at the 2025–26 Exhibit of School Architecture, presented by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) and the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB).
The firm’s design for Dallas ISD’s Career Institute North earned five Stars of Distinction in design, value, wellness, community, and planning. The recognition highlights the importance of collaboration and the transformative power of thoughtful design in shaping learning environments. The project is now eligible for the prestigious Caudill Award, the highest honor in the annual Exhibit of School Architecture. Winners will be announced at the 2026 TASA Midwinter Conference.
Van Alstyne ISD’s Van Alstyne High School earned two Stars of Distinction for design and value, celebrating its functional and engaging spaces, and Irving ISD’s Magda A. Hernández Institute of Wellness and Professional Learning received a star for school transformation for setting a new standard in flexible, wellness-focused learning environments.
The Exhibit of School Architecture showcases projects from across Texas that set new standards in educational design. This year, 43 projects were submitted by 19 architectural firms and reviewed by a jury of school administrators, board members and design professionals. Stars of Distinction are awarded in six key categories that define excellence in school architecture.
The award-winning projects will be on display at the txEDCON 2025 convention in Houston on Sept. 12–13, highlighting outstanding achievement in school architecture.
We are grateful to TASA and TASB for this recognition, and to our partners and clients who continue to trust us with designing the next generation of learning spaces.
