Slidell Elementary School

Established in 1938, the Slidell Independent School District boasts a rich legacy steeped in educational excellence. Recognizing the evolving needs of its student body, the community successfully passed a bond election in 2023 to harmonize the district's curriculum with a new cutting-edge elementary school serving grades Pre-K through 5th grade. The new building provides larger classrooms, room for growth, breakout spaces, safety and security upgrades, an ICC 500 rated storm shelter gymnasium, library, and cafetorium. At the heart of the design is the connection to nature, exemplified by the integration of 22 vibrant garden beds and 2 rainwater cisterns showcased along the building's front façade.
