John L. Hanby Elementary School

Total replacement of a 1960’s school built on the adjacent park site in similar design to Seabourn Elementary. The old school sites were then redeveloped into new neighboring city parks. The new Hanby Elementary School includes 33 regular classrooms, several multi-purpose rooms, a gated outdoor learning courtyard, and other Next Generation learning features. Sustainability features include daylight throughout, shading devices, rainwater collection cisterns, and a computerized Energy Management System.
