Press Release here

In 1948, Ernie Wright and Joe Rich met when they enrolled in the Department of Architecture at the University of Texas in Austin after serving in World War II as combat aviators. While Ernie and Joe attended architecture school, they decided to form a partnership. And because Ernie had a degree in education, they decided to specialize in designing schools.

Wright-Rich & Associates Architects opened for business on April 4, 1954. Now branded WRA Architects, the company has grown to over fifty employees and still specializes in K-12 school design with over 1,100 projects. The firm announced the addition of six new partners in January 2019. WRA Architects was also named Dallas Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in Small category in 2018, 2017, and 2016.
