Mesquite ISD Ben and Jo Ann Cross Elementary
December Construction Update
Ben & Jo Ann Cross Elementary School is Mesquite ISD's 34th new elementary school and is located in a new subdivision of Mesquite. The project is the fifth site-adaptation of the District's current Elementary School Prototype design, accommodating 1,000 students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. In each of the Prototype’s adaptations, the functional plan is the same, but the aesthetics in design and materials vary to reflect each campus's individual neighborhood character. The project includes a Storm Shelter as well as Cafetorium, Gymnasium, Playgrounds, Library/Media Center, Art, Multipurpose, Music, and core classrooms. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2023.
