J.H. Florence Elementary School

Total replacement of a 1965 school on the same site constructed with school in session. The school abuts a city park. The new school was built on the park site, then the old school demolished and redeveloped into new play fields, a walking trail, and other features to serve both school and community. Many existing mature trees were retained. Includes 39 regular classrooms, several multi-purpose rooms, a gated courtyard, and many features of the Next Generation learning methods.
